The Mechanic with a Clunker

Forte Insights

You may be wondering why Forte Interactive, Inc. took 6 years to update their website. Yes, this is the same Forte Interactive that leads South Florida in web development and a plethora of online solutions. It is also the same company who launched 8 websites in the past 5 days.

At first this concept was hard for me to grasp. I mean I have witnessed the grueling day in day out of getting a website up and running. And as an insider, I see many clients delay the process because they want their site to be perfect. However, it is part of my job to convey that sites are works in progress. I tell them not to worry about making it a masterpiece - the beautiful thing about Forte’s product is that it can be updated at any moment. Again, after preaching this theme how is it that Forte still delayed launching its own art work?

Have you every heard the story about the shoe peddler who spent his life adorning the feet in his community with beautiful, hand-crafted shoes, while his own son had to wander around barefoot? For me, this is a theme that I know all too well. Growing up in a small community driven by the small businesses, it is easy for me to see how this happens. My best friend had to drive around in an old, beat-up looking car because her father was the town’s Mechanic and did not have time to put effort into his family’s cars. For me, my father was a contractor, which left my home in many stages of construction projects.

Finally, what I am trying to say is that I understand how a customer service business puts the needs of their clients above their own. It is for this reason I am thoroughly impressed that a website company was able to launch a completely fabulous website!
